One of The Upright Gentlemen of Champoor, Artena is the child of a Solar Exalt and a Prince of Malfeas.
She is thought to be over 2,000 years old, but wears the visage of a comely young woman (often clad in a sorcerous Skin of Bronze).
Her role in Champoor is to guard the entrance to the Veiled Market, and her father's Pact holds that she cannot leave this entrance.
Her Father has also decreed that she must marry a Prince of Malfeas, but she is able to avoid this while she is in a 'fruitful marriage' (bearing children).
Her current husband is the Solar Exalt Sui Tien Yuen, Master of The Crashing Fountain. This is a recent development, and has not yet born any offspring.
Little is known of her previous husbands, or their fate.
