[[The Tall Man]] arranges a meeting with [[Altan|The Forthright Man]], supposedly for us to sell him the Pearls. 

We disguise ourselves, and meet one of his underlings, who takes us to the roof of their Den, and has the Pearls set before a Mirror. It is a normal, mundane, non-magical mirror, but reflects across a network of mirrors, so that a sufficiently-keen-sighted individual who knows where to look can see what is reflected in it. We suspect they would be in the shanty-town out in the bay. 

We are then led to the shanty-town, out in the bay. <br />
Korvalis notices that we are being shadowed by another group - probably not The Forthright man's people. He keeps quiet for now. 

We are led through the Forthright Man's war-room (where a 1st Age Artefact is projecting a map of Military Forces onto a wall), and into a reception chamber. The Man himself is hidden, and projecting his voice to behind a paper screen.  <br />
We pretend to negotiate a price for the Pearls, before revealing our true Identities!  <br />
Khensa wishes The Forthright Man to reveal his, and we find it is [[Altan]] The God-Killer, Regent of [[Kodor]], Head of the Grass-Spiders! 

Altan demands an Oath of Peace for the rest of the negotiations, and we talk about many things. 

The meeting is interrupted by an explosion - the shanty-town is under attack! 

Altan rushes off, and we make our way to the Army-Map Artefact (to secure it against the attackers!). We have been beaten there by Altan, who has run off with the power source for it, and several attackers are reeling from his assault.  <br />
[[Ben]] unleashes Obsidian Butterflies into them, carving a hole in the walls, which reveals another figure ...  <br />
Korvalis takes aim and sends an arrow in their direction, only to have [[The Prophet]] (for it is she!) grasp it from the air and hurl it back! 

We decide that discretion is the better part of valour, and [[Lady Khensa]] summons her Whirlwind.  <br />
We leave for [[Soba]], and tell [[Brog]] to meet us there.
