One of [[The Upright Gentlemen]] of [[Champoor]], Artena is the child of a [[Lady Khensa|Solar Exalt]] and a Prince of Malfeas.

She is thought to be over 2,000 years old, but wears the visage of a comely young woman (often clad in a sorcerous Skin of Bronze).

Her role in Champoor is to guard the entrance to the [[Veiled Market]], and her father's Pact holds that she cannot leave this entrance.

Her Father has also decreed that she must marry a Prince of Malfeas, but she is able to avoid this while she is in a 'fruitful marriage' (bearing children).

Her current husband is the Solar Exalt [[Sui Tien Yuen]], Master of [[The Crashing Fountain]]. This is a recent development, and has not yet born any offspring.

Little is known of her previous husbands, or their fate.
