Centred on [[Virconia]], Punt is the terminal kingdom at the end of the [[Elephant River]]. The Kingdom is a solid Realm Ally and until recently enjoyed the protection of realm troops. Unfortunately the legions withdrew over 2 years ago leaving Punt under the dubious protection of a few hundred foreign mercenaries and legion castoffs. Between this and the 3 successive years of drought in the province leave the Satrap in a precarious position indeed.

Virconia stands at the Bifurication on the great north road. The left hand path tacks towards the White Mountain before crossing [[The Serpent]] at [[Taral]] and entering the [[Stoney Wastes]] near the [[Garland Crater]]. A safe route, unless you attract the attentions of the Empires Tax collectors. The Right hand path takes the [[Road of The Prophet|Path of The Prophet]] through the [[Great Dune Sea]] to [[Soba]] and thence northwards skirting the [[Dry Hills]]. A more chancy road usually undertaken by larger merchant venturers who can afford the extra guards.
