AWAITING NEW RULINGS
Artefacts have special powers known as "Evocations" that a wielder can gradually unlock as they gain affinity with the item.
There are three levels of Evocation, and they require a certain amount of XP to gain:
- Emerald: 6 XP
- Sapphire: 7 XP
- Adamant: 8 XP
Solar XP may be used for these.
To gain access to higher levels, a wielder must buy a certain number of the previous level.
An artefact might be "front loaded", meaning that a wielder will get instant access to an Evocation, but it will have less total Evocations available.
Some Evocations may have Special Activations, meaning a wielder can gain temporary access to them, without having spent the XP. These will be detailed in the specific Evocation, will always cost at least 1 Willpower, and are generally only available for Emerald Evocations.
