We set off, with Dolman and a score of his men, to find the Gem Lord. Along the way, we are attacked by Hungry Ghosts. Easily dispatching them, we search for the reason they are here. Before long we find a mass grave, over 200 Baryans, probably slaves. Master Sui takes some time to give them a more respectful ending, and gains an Intimacy to a Vircona, Baryan Goddess of Craft (now deceased). We continue on, and find that these slaves were merely part of a larger group headed for the Gem Lord!

Dolman and his men head off to search other areas, while we continue. Arriving at the entrance to the Gem Lord's lair, we find some escaped slaves. We try to calm them, but the Gem Lord's servants turn up. We are 'invited' to a meeting.

Also at the meeting is Goulash, God of Misery and Misfortune!

Much chatting later, we have some agreements. The Gem Lord will help us close the pass, but is busy for a month. We have a deal with Goulash to present the Gem Lord with a suitable offering, made by our portion of the Slaves. Details are a bit fuzzy. His portion of the slaves are to be blinded, taken down to his Mines and treated badly, for Goulash believes this will force their utmost creativity.
