Khensa's First Age Story
Asti-Sana was, for the millennium before the usurpation, one of “movers and shakers” of creation. Over the course of her life she was wife, consort, lover or had a brief-fling with almost every Exalted, God or Fae of significance. She was by the side of these individuals as they made decisions that shattered lives or created wonders, often shaping them in ways that suited her.
She had numerous children by numerous fathers, leaving them with foster parents across the land, paying occasional discreet visits to them as they grew. These god-blooded progeny would often become her agents, allies, lovers or (occasionally) enemies.
As the Solar’s descended into corruption and decay so to did Asti-Sana. Asti, who had initially “oiled the wheels” on behalf of the deliberative started to feel she knew best. Her lovers, allies and rivals within the Solar order became nothing more than tools and obstacles. She sowed distrust and isolated individuals from their allies, to increase their dependence on her, and this isolation that she created could arguably have resulted in the usurpation, as the isolation of the Solar from each other and their allies drove many potential friends into either the opposition’s camp or neutrality.
She also increased the scope of her lovers, encompassing demons, forsaken gods, behemoths and other beings considered anathema. As demon-kin, god-kin, and minimoths became known, even the most decadent of exalted started questioning her actions. Only the Great Betrayal saved her from sever censure of worse at the hands of the deliberative.
