Session 3
We opened with Ben repelling the 3 demons. The 2 blood-apes chose to materialise, while the Agata withdrew.
Master Sui, The White Rose and Tirigan moved into battle-posture (and cast some scene-length charms)
Cynis issued some command in a foreign tongue, and hurled a Nightingale Attack at Ben, causing him to stumble (Withered him for 2 init), while crying out a Battle Hymn (Mick pays 1WP to avoid retreating)
The White Rose held her ground, calling for The Egg to show his mettle by helping his Master.
Sui and Tirigan struck hard at the Apes, as they had materialised right on us. (Andy init-crashed his. Phil didn't quite.)
Cynis chose to turn her attention to Sui, and it took all of his skill to avoid the blow (4 motes Excellency on defence).
Cynis's Personal Guard held their ground, while the Palace Guards seemed unsure of what to do.
Sui and Tirigan continued to fight off the apes (by now both utterly crashed), and The White Rose kept a watchful eye on the guards, lest they attack.
The fight was soon over, with Sui and Tirigan massacring the apes (Decisive attacks on 25-30 init), and Cynis leaping atop the Agata, which flew off. Her guard withdrew through the Gate of The Prophet, while the Palace Guard reformed and approached.
The White Rose explains to the Guards how our Mystic had detected Demons/Evil Spirits, and we had moved to dispatch them, as is our Duty to Soba. They leave the area.
Ben scans the area for any sign of Supernatural Effects, and notices that the Gate is in communication with the other Gates, and not in its usual dormancy. The Gate also seems to be linked to The Egg.
The Egg crawls down from his hiding place, and Master Sui scolds him. We then learn of many new things, including a threat to the City, and that The Egg has pledged to defend Soba (and has a key tattoo on his arm).
We escort The Egg to the Crashing Fountain, while The White Rose speaks with the Broken Chains about possible protection for him. Unfortunately, the Chains are leaving town to avoid Immaculate eyes.
Ben has agreed to speak with The Egg about his dreams (The Egg has not been consulted on this yet!).
Ben and The White Rose have an appointment in the Plum Citadel.
We learn of The Tall Man's latest news: a heist on the Citadel Vaults, with a decoy of an attack on the Iron Banker.
