Spice Melange

Brought to Soba by the nomadic Kif, Spice is the drug of choice for most that can afford it, and a large amount of Soba's economy is built around the Spice Harvest.

It's exact origins are unknown, but the Kif bring it in from the depths of the deserts, leading to suspicions that it is somehow related to the great Sand Worms that dwell there. Others speculate that it is a form of sand, blown in from The Dreaming Sea.

Users report feelings of intoxication, relaxation and clarity of mind. Artists use it to enhance creativity, and Mystics enter spice-induced trances to answer questions about the future, the dead, or anything else that people will ask.

There are those who talk of being physically transported to the Sea of Mind, but as this is impossible to verify without taking Spice, it remains unknowable.
