We open with Lady Khensa chatting to Influential figures in Kodor, looking for ways to strengthen morale and rebuild unity. The Black Rose has worked well to instil Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt, but maybe Kensha can put things back together.
The Tall Man and Master Sui go to meet the Immaculate Monk, but after a hard journey find that he has gone. He has left a message, mainly written in Wyld Hunt cypher. They copy what they can, and then destroy the evidence.
While returning to Kodor, they are assailed by Flying Bats, that speak wit the voice of Black Demeter. He invites some of the Circle to meet him.
Also, Black Rose's Sand Ship seems to be leaving.
Ben struggles to interpret the Monk's Cypher, but does translate the Old Realm section. It states the True name of one of the Never-Born: He Who Holds In Thrall.
Cynis Allegra sent us a Sorcerous Message telling of a Heretical Cult taking over the Republican movement, and wants to use The Crashing Fountain to stop them. We are unsure if this is Sui's Sun Cult, so have told Kinsai to calm them down, and told Allegra we will deal with it when we get back.
The Tall Man, Ben and Khensa go to meet the Sorcerer. They try to come to some arrangement.
While they are away, Sui is visited by a stranger wearing he guise of a peasant-girl he knows. She warns him that he will be asked to do wrong, but Sui is not impressed and tells her to clear off. As she leaves, she reveals that she works with Holken, leader of the Azure Horde, and gives a message with Holken's terms for Soba's surrender.
The party return from talking with Black Demeter, and discuss both Demeter and Holken's offers.
