A number of talks with a number of dragon blooded has netted The White Rose with a potential new lover and Master Sui with a squad of Kif as guests as his dojo.
Meanwhile an examination of The Tall Man's amulet has revealed it to be a hearthstone and mount belonging to Karla Ragnar. The curiously inactive heartstone is a stone of stability.
An earth tremor that strikes as Ben feels the Workings of the Plum Citadel attacked prompts the arrangement of a visit to the Citadel in the company of The White Rose. And a missing ex student causes a concern for Master Sui. An Investigation leads to a complex situation at the gate of the prophet with the lady Cynis Allegra, her guards and trio of pet demons.
On the other side of town the Tall Man has met with the theif captains Bountiful Fox and Humble Stoat. After some discussion it is decided that the Tall Man will lead a strike against a prominent banker to draw attention away from the intended target, the treasury of Soba. Despite some misgiving that he is not being told everything the Tall Man decides he would prefer to avoid not knowing too much about this theft so as to avoid the potential heat.
