Liberation of Kessel
A three-sided battle fought deep in the Mines of Kessel.
One one side, the miners, a Scale of Realm Troopers, several Immaculate Monks and an unidentified Exalt.
On another side, the Fairy Horde; a mass of Hobgoblins, bugbears, and other Wyld-Creatures, led by the Lord of Obsidian and his Queen, and attempting to bring a Wyld Behemoth to the surface of Creation, where it could wreak havoc.
The third force was a group of Anathema, intent on causing wrack and ruin to all in their path.
If you will listen to the sordid tales of the wyld-touched miners who survived the day, they variously tell of:
- A woman so beautiful that she brought the light of the Sun down into the Mines
- Sorcerers engaging in a battle of spells
- Horrors from the ancient and recent past returning from their graves to claim more souls
- Anathema and Fairies fighting over who gets to destroy Creation
- A giant beast made of black light, that resisted even the mighty Immaculate Monks' powers
- Volleys of arrows that came from nowhere, and disappeared after doing their work
- Trails of black smoke, that grasped and clawed as it slunk across the caverns
Of course, none of this can be verified, as the Immaculates are not in the habit of spreading gossip, and the others are nowhere to be found (if you would even want to!)
