Ugathra

Queen of The Spiders.

This Demon of the Second Circle considers all Spiders her children, and demands tribute and worship from them. Those who would use spiders, or their venom, or their webs, for whatever means, would do well to pay appropriate respect, or suffer her wrath.

It is believed that the Grass Spiders mercenary group, based out of Champoor, owe her fealty, and in return she makes terrible poisons available to them.

Scholars have determined that the Avatar of Ugathra, despite her dominion over poisonous arachnids, is not immune to the poisons of other sources, and there are tales of Snake Venom and noxious plant secretions being used against her.

Recent auguries seem to show that Ugathra has been weakened somehow. Some sages have noted that the Cognoscenti Carnivale now display subtle spider designs (in particular, crushed or trapped spiders), but what link their is, if any, is unknown.
